About Me

Statement

I express my inner self about nature and current event  through art.  For me art works are not meant to be merely something beautiful and striking but also a bridge of communication  between me and the surounding. The form and color can thus convey non verbally language my inner self  when considering a particular  event.

Bio

Born in Bandung, Indonesia. Wijati lives and works in Northern Virginia. It has taken her some time to educate herself about art. For many years Wijati have tried to improve by taking classes with great teachers from East to West, and she  will continue perfecting her work until she  reaches North and South. Wijati art is more personal  and different from the art that she learned academically. She is comfortable to draw and paint the invisible energies of experience, object, sound, place, and music into visible form.
